Driver career with optional team management · browser and Android
My Racing Career
My Racing Career turns the usual chair around. You start as a young driver in a junior formula and build a career series by series; running a team is an optional second job you can take on later.
Overview · My Racing Career
What it is
The publisher describes My Racing Career as a game where you take the role of a formula racing driver. Your career begins in the lower ranks, similar to Formula 3, and a successful season brings offers from better series. Formula 1 sits at the top, with special series along the way modelled on championships such as Porsche Supercup, DTM, IndyCar and NASCAR.
The scope has grown over the years. Motorcycle classes in the spirit of Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP were added, then rally championships, and the about page also lists Formula 4, Formula E, TCR, GT, Supercars and Superbikes. The track database runs to more than 1,400 circuits and 600 rally stages, according to the same page.
How a race works
Races are run on the server by what the publisher calls a detailed racing simulator. Your input comes before the start: you practise to find the best car setup, then set the race strategy. After that the simulation takes over. Drivers start young with modest skills but improve quickly, so early results say less about your future than they seem to.
The top series works differently. In the in-game Formula 1, teams are run by human managers who build their own cars and choose their drivers — so other players decide whether you get a seat. A good career has to impress people, not just the stopwatch.
Commitment · My Racing Career
The manager’s side
Running an F1 team or a racing club is described as optional and needing limited financial investment, which can be covered by in-game activity or shared between several managers. The publisher states that a driver’s career is not affected by whether you take this on.
It is a sensible split. You can stay a pure driver for as long as you like, or step onto the pit wall when you are ready, possibly with friends sharing the load.
How much time it asks
The homepage shows a busy daily race calendar, and you decide how many series to apply for. The rhythm is set by practice and strategy before each race, not by the race itself, which runs in the backend.
Our read: one series is a light, check-in-daily game; three series at once is a proper hobby. Start with one, learn how setup feedback works, then add a second.
What’s free and what isn’t
“The game is free to play,” says the publisher. The optional extras are a Superlicense, described as a premium account that makes the game more comfortable to play, and Coins, an in-game currency you can buy and spend on special items and features. The publisher states that neither improves the driver’s performance or chances of success. Free to start, optional in-game purchases, and a clear line drawn around speed.
Where you can play
In a browser, plus an Android app linked from the official homepage. We found no working iOS link there. The interface lists more than thirty languages, including Italian, Hungarian and Finnish.
